Maternity Dress to the Rescue

Thank goodness for our maternity dress! When we first started, we didn’t even offer the maternity style dress that’s now on our site (in three different lengths). Amazingly enough, we were able to scientifically determine that women who fit the demographic of being part of a bridal party may also get pregnant!

We’ve learned firsthand the difficulties of purchasing a bridesmaid dresses while venturing into motherhood. Our friend Noilyn contacted us back in August. She was particularly fond of our Bronze Charmeuse and, along with her bridesmaids, loved the concept of being able to design their own dresses for the wedding. All the bridesmaids ordered without any issues and the dresses were made and delivered to everyone’s satisfaction. However, in the one of the bridesmaids became pregnant and could no longer fit into her dress. We gladly accepted the original dresses in exchange for a newly produced maternity dress. [We wonder how David’s Bridal would’ve handled this!?] Our generosity was rewarded by the powers-that-be when one of the other bridesmaids determined that she ordered the wrong size and we were able to provide her with the dress originally prepared for the then pregnant bridesmaid.

Even with the two dress exchanges, at the end of the day all worked out incredibly well as is evident by the beautiful photo taken by Jenny Stafford of Red Loft Studios shown above. We think the photo demonstrates how nicely our maternity dress blends in with our traditional bridesmaid dresses. We’re very thankful to Noilyn for writing us and letting us know how much she appreciated our efforts on her behalf. You can read her words below in the comment section to this entry.

Hi there!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the wonderful people at Coco Myles for providing such exemplary customer service for my honor attendants (that's what my husband and I called our gals since we had them stand as witness on both sides).

I looked for months for the "perfect" dress for the honor attendants. At one point, I thought I would never find the right one(s) since we were trying to outfit 8 gals from three different cities (NYC, San Francisco, and LA). On a happy accident, I came across a blog on weddingbee.com and that's where I found out about Coco Myles! The planets must have been in perfect alignment that day... because not only could the gals customize their dresses, but they were available in our wedding color - bronze! What was even better was that the order could be taken online. Thus eliminating the hassle of coordinating a large dress order.

I especially want to thank you for accommodating all the wedding party's "special needs". One attendant got pregnant half way through the planning... no problem. She was able to exchange the dress for the maternity style. By the way, she was probably the cutest pregnant matron of honor ever! Another attendant had a baby two months before the wedding and couldn't quite fit in the dress... no problem again. She got a new dress made just in time for the wedding.

In every correspondence, the customer service staff always handled every request in the utmost professional and timely manner.

I've attached two pictures of the wedding party All the ladies looked absolutely stunning in their bronze charmeuse dresses! We received soooo many compliments about them. We would love it if you post the photos on your blog =). If you do, can you please credit our photographer, Jenny Stafford from Red Loft Studios?

Please keep up the good work. I'll definitely be referring Coco Myles to my friends and family.

Are the dresses in that pic really bronze? I though they looked burnt orange.

Now I am wondering if I should have told my wedding party to order bronze instead, and am feeling nervous!

Are there any pics of burnt orange CM dresses available?
